North Saint Paul Bridge Builders

Are you wanting more from your community of North St. Paul? A citizen-led effort to connect more residents with each other is moving from vision to action under the name North St. Paul "Bridge Builders." The Bridge Builders, a group of more than fifty residents, are generating ideas and putting their heads together with the common goal of energizing our small town.

What Is Bridge Builders?

Bridge builders are anyone or anything whose purpose and actions are uplifting the community. They are citizens interested in enhancing the quality of life which is distinctly North St. Paul. People who share the glory of the past and look forward to an even brighter future. Its people like Jodi Stumpner who was the lead organizer for “Willie Winkie’s Workshop” - a crafts-for-giving workshop last December. Over 80 participants attended and a dozen businesses and organizations contributed materials for its success.

Bridge Builders is also about readying ourselves for the Margaret Street Bridge project in 2006. The bridge -30 years in the making - will reconnect our City by making crossing the highway safe and speedy. The downtown merchants are Bridge Builders as they prepare a marketing plan to reconnect themselves with the community. Want to become a Bridge Builder? Call 651-485-5920. THE TOY SHELF
Thank you to everyone who has been so generous with donations to The Toy Shelf. To date we have supplied free toys to alsmost 700 children.!!

The Toy Shelf is open year round and we are in constant need of toys; games, DVDs, videos, books, bikes, crayons - anything suitable for bith to young teens (no stuffed animals, please). Drop off in the toy boxes at the Community Center, City Hall, St. Peters Church (O'Reilley Hall) Anchor Bank or Specialty Floral, all in North St. Paul. Cash Donations accepted at Anchor Bank. All donations are tax deductible.

If you have friends or neighbors going through tough times please refer them to us. All of our items are FREE. The Toy Shelf is located in Specialty Floral at 2553 E. 7th Ave. and is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 1pm.
