MINNESOTA STARWATCH PARTY

WITH

WCCO'S MIKE LYNCH

Tuesday, February 12

"STARRY STARRY NIGHT"

On Tuesday, February 12 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, you're invited to bring your lawn chair and a blanket and party with the stars!

Make the stars your old friends as we watch the great celestial show in the skies over Southwood Nature Preserve in North Saint Paul. Get to know the constellations such as The Big Bear, Casiopeia, Pegasus, and some of the great stories behind them.

We will use large reflecting telescopes, including a giant 20 inch reflector, one of the largest mobile telescopes in Minnesota for close up views of star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, and other wonders in our winter skies. You will receive a handout with user friendly star maps, constellation chart maps, websites, a telescope buying guide and more.

Dress appropriately for the weather! Hot cocoa will be served to warm the bones!

To reserve your spot, please call Laurie at 651-747-2504. Kids of all ages, Scout groups, and families are welcome! Whether clear of cloudy skies, the party will go on.

Please enter Southwood Nature Preserve off of Holloway Avenue, just one block west of Division Street. Signs along the trail will lead you to the Starwatch Party.

Come join the fun on Tuesday, February 12 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
